Mr. Paul Muller, a graduate of the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), became CEO of the Manotel Group in 2001. At the helm of six establishments, Paul Muller has succeeded in giving each of the six brands its own identity while maintaining the group's overall consistency.
The Manotel group becomes an official partner of Alinghi, the Swiss sailing team. During this partnership, the Alinghi crew wins the America's Cup twice, in 2003 and 2007.
Renovation of the Hôtel Auteuil entirely carried out by renowned interior architect and designer Paul Sartres. Inside, the decor is understated and refined, and there is a permanent exhibition of photos of celebrities from the 1960s, including Sophia Loren, Sean Connery, and Brigitte Bardot.
The Hotel Chantilly becomes the Hotel Kipling. The 3-star superior hotel takes its name from the English novelist Rudyard Kipling, born in Bombay in 1865, whose works have gained worldwide renown. Following in the footsteps of this great traveler, the Hotel Kipling is a unique place that invites you to escape and get away from it all in the heart of Geneva.
The Ascot Hotel becomes the Jade Hotel. A 3-star Zen-inspired hotel designed and decorated by interior designer Patrick Ribes under the watchful eye of a Feng Shui master and his student, who left their native China for the first time ever to come to Geneva.
Renovation period for the lobby lounge and conference rooms at the 4-star superior Hotel Royal, combining modernity and tradition with a neoclassical style.
Sensitive to the issue of sustainable development, in 2007 the Manotel group launched a 10-point eco-responsible and social program enabling active and concrete optimization of resource management.
In 2008, the Manotel group won the Geneva cantonal sustainable development award, the Swiss Ethics Award, and a nomination at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards in Paris.
The concept of the Epsom Hotel has been revisited by architect Patrick Ribes and transformed into the N'vY Hotel. This 4-star superior hotel is characterized by its boho-chic spirit and works of art. With its trendy decor and arty atmosphere, it is a blend of street and pop art.
Béatrice Ardisson is responsible for the hotel's musical ambiance.
The arty concept also extends to the hotel's dining areas, creating a stylish, trendy urban atmosphere. The New York-inspired Tag's Café and N'vY Bar opened their doors in 2013.
That same year, the hotel was a finalist in the “Best Room Innovation” category at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards in Paris.
The Royal Hotel is undertaking a complete renovation of its superior rooms, combining Salomé marble with refined materials.
In 2018, the Manotel group joined forces with the Ensemble et Espace Entreprise foundation to launch Youth for Soap. This initiative recycles used soap from all of the group's establishments. Developed by commercial apprentices and involving people with intellectual disabilities, the project recycles up to one ton of soap per year.
Opened in 2016, L'Aparté, the gourmet restaurant at the Hôtel Royal, was awarded a score of 17/20 in the 2019 edition of the Swiss Gault&Millau guide. Chef Armel Bedouet was named “Promotion of the Year in French-speaking Switzerland” that same year.
The Hotel Edelweiss has been completely renovated and is revamping its Swiss chalet experience in the heart of Geneva. Valais wood, Alpine furniture, wrought iron light fixtures, high-quality bedding, traditional fabric cushions, and wool throws—everything has been designed to create a unique experience that is both cozy and authentic.
In 2021, L'Aparté maintains its 17/20 rating in Gault&Millau Switzerland and retains its star in the Michelin Guide Switzerland.

Manotel is associated with the “Un Global Compact Switzerland” project in collaboration with the UN. It is the first hotelkeeper in Geneva to join the initiative.

L'Aparté's 17/20 rating is once again confirmed in the 2025 edition of the Swiss Gault&Millau guide.
L'Aparté has retained its star since 2020 and scored 18/20 in the 2026 edition of Gault&Millau. Chef Armel Bedouet also once again received the "Promu de l'année" distinction.
